This thesis follows up the topic of removal - expulsion of Czech Germans living in Czech borderland after the Second World War and it surveys the process of forced displacement in Kaplice and its surroundings in South Bohemia not only with provided data, but mainly with concrete stories. The Theoretical part focuses on the coexistence of Czechs and Germans in Czech territory and describes given historic circumstances which led to its bitter end. It endeavours to outline the process of removal and its consequences for Czechoslovakia. In the Practical part, the concrete stories of contemporary witnesses of the forced displacement complement the information about the process and consequences related to South Bohemian borderland. The main aim of this thesis is to ascertain what the contemporary witnesses think of this affair today.

Sudeten-German Nationalist Sports Associations and Czech State in the years 1918-1938

TITLE: Sudeten-German Nationalist Sports Associations and Czech State in the years 1918-1938 ABSTRACT: This dissertation deals with activities of Sudeten-German sports associations which had an negative approach towards the state. Their activities regularly provoked reactions from the state authorities and so it is possible to track down a whole genesis of mutual relations between the Czech state and individual associations in the archives. Among the most important sports associations was DTV Union. This union played an important part in the history of interwar Czechoslovakia, not only in the field of sport but also in the political sphere. Many top leaders of Sudeten-German political representation came from its ranks. Among the most famous Konrad Henlein, Karl Hermann Frank, Walter Brand and many others. Apart from DTV Union this dissertation also describes the most militant Sudeten-German sports association Volksport, which in that time became a synonym for the threat of rising Nacizm. The activities of Sudeten-German negative oriented sports associations had a significant influence on the course of events in Czechoslovak state in the second half of the 1930's and their anti-Czech attitudes culminated during the year 1938 and especially during the period of Munich Agreement. The relationship between K. Henlein and K. H. Frank in the period before World War II. Friends or rivals?

The thesis deals with the relationship between two main politicians of Henlein´s party who significantly participated in destruction of democratic Czechoslovakia at the end of the thirties in 20th century. They are a leader of Sudeten German party Konrad Henlein and his deputy Karl Hermann Frank. The thesis focuses on the events, actions and activities done before World War II by those two assistants of Adolf Hitler and also on the relationships between them. The major part of this thesis discusses the cooperation and relationship between these two Nazi politicians.

Development of the Sudeten German political movements in the yars 1933 - 1938

The master's thesis "Development of the Sudeten German political movements in the years 1933 - 1938" is focusing on the formation and development of Sudetenland German political movements in the Czechoslovak Republic. It deals with the situation of German minority group, it analyses the assumptions and also attempts for unification of German (negativistic) political field in the process being aimed at establishment and forming Sudetenland German Patriotic Front (SHF) in 1933. The thesis subsequently follows up the chronological development of Henlein Movement (SHF), the relation to other German political parties and the state, and also the transformation in Sudetenland German Party (SdP) in 1935. Afterwards, the thesis include the analysis of its election programme, the ways of campaigning and the election results in the parliamentary elections in 1935 (the voter turnout in municipal election in 1934 and 1938 is also mentioned). The internal party crisis belongs among other milestones of SdP that are dealt in this thesis just as Carlsbad Programme (with the demands against Czechoslovakia), the dissolving of SdP and the changeover of former members to German National Socialist Labour Party (NSDAP) in 1938.
